The Three Dragons, Sammo hung, Yuen biao and Jackie chan, all come together in their last starring roles together. If someone made a list of the top 5 greatest kung fu films ever put on the screen since the beginning of the genre, then this would be on it. It would be unfare to say that it is number one, since i have not seen every kung fu film ever made, and because they will forever continue to make more. But it would definitely be on the list, every…single…time. It is the perfect recipe for a perfect movie, and the result is more than perfect. The cast, the fights, the camera work, the fights. Awesome,awesome,awesome,awesome. This also just might be the most underrated movie of all time. Not only do most people not even know about this movie, and when tou tell them Jackie chan is in it, they won't even believe you.Too bad too.
Whee! I am finding myself enjoying Jackie Chan movies more and moreI shed my Western upbringing and open myself to a different way of thinking. The fight sequences and stunts have always been superlative; the plots, well.<br/><br/>The plot here isn't fabulous, but I found it entertaining enough to easily carry me from wonderful fight scene to the next. I admit to a guilty pleasure watching Sammo Hung, Biao Yuen and Jackie Chan mixing it up against one another and then together against everyone else. All things considered, I rank it up near the top for the Jackie Chan's Hong Kong movies and movies in general. Open your mind to a different mindset on plot devising and enjoy an only superficially serious premise made entertaining with a plethora of gratuitous martial arts.

An Extended Export Version was released on DVD in Germany and Laserdisc in Japan that features two more scenes showing Yuen Biao at the psychiatrist and the bicycle-folding-scene. The French DVD contains both the uncut HK Version with the original audio and an overdubbed but 16 minutes shorter French Version, which lacks some of the plot elements. This is probably not the same cut that can be found on the French tape by Rene Chateau because the exclusive scenes from the Export Version can be found in French languagea bonus on the French DVD. Also, both versions on DVD have more or less the same picture quality, which is not always the case with this label. It looksif the HK master tape has been used to recreate the VHS release's cuts without including the Export Version's scenes due to their inferior quality.<br/><br/>It can be assumed that the Exported Version was useda basis for the French Version because all of its cuts are included in itwell. Another 10 minutes of storyline were removedwell. This version is certainly not recommendable, but at least the complete cut can be found on the DVDwell even in good quality. However, it lacks English subtitles, English speakers should therefore buy the British DVD, which is also good.
